Burn Out

Burn Out

Burn down today, wear yourself out
You don’t care about tomorrow
Every day is a brand new rout
Stagger through the day on caffeine
The night’s got swagger in stout
Smile at the girls that dirty grin
Pick one up for the nightly bout

You stuff some down her skirt
As you start the car’s ignition
She lights her joint, no time to flirt
Gets down to business, light in the head
You slap her hand, she cries in hurt
The pain’s gonna be a lot more
When you grind her in the dirt

You park on the side by the beach
You aint gonna take her home
This filthy trash is kept out of reach
Of that paradise of a home
Sand scrapes her knees as you breach
Slap her hard each time you sin
Exhausted, you let the money preach

You throw her out a mile from her haunt
Turn around and make for that last rest
Emptiness and peace take a jaunt
You turn to your filthy lane
Deep inside the old ghosts still haunt
Welcome home love ...
You cry as you hear that old taunt
